At this year’s Electric Buses Conference, Christian Koebel, Director Product Management, PRIMOVE risked a glance into the future. During his presentation at the 7th edition of the conference he did not only discuss mega trends like urbanization or connectivity but went further into detail. He showed how for example battery technology will evolve in the future, coming to the conclusion that, charging during operation will be the best option if we are looking into the next 20 -25 years.
More than 350 participants followed the presentations of representatives of the leading companies of the industry as well as NGOs and government officials, like Rainer Bomba, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, during this yearly gathering in Berlin, Germany. The attendees also got insights into the e-bus projects currently running in Germany during a panel discussion with representatives from the operators. Two of the PRIMOVE projects in operations, namely the ones in Berlin and Mannheim, were also presented by Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) and Braunschweiger Verkehrs-GmbH.
At the corresponding exhibition the PRIMOVE team showed how we are already making cities cleaner, quieter and more attractive with the pioneering PRIMOVE e-mobility portfolio. An inductive charging station for mobile phones showed the visitors how easy and convenient wireless energy transfer is – in all situations. No cables or plugs needed. Apart from making live easier this also looks much better. These two images impressively show how little you can actually see of a PRIMOVE charging station. Can you spot the three differences?
